This method allows sunlight to pass through, as the base structure is openwork and coated with translucent enamel. Under the right light, the effect resembles stained-glass church windows—with metal wires mimicking the leading.

Today, this rare technique is seldom seen due to its complexity, high cost, and time-intensive process, making it unsuitable for mass production. It survives only in select European jewelry houses with generational craftsmanship.
